Presidents Message - December 2009

Chapter Members & Friends,

As we reach the close of 2009, I want to express my thanks to all of you for your participation at our sponsored events this year. We had a great time at all of the chapter sponsored shows. Those of you who helped to plan and put the shows together did a great job as usual. It is indeed a privilege to be associated with such a wonderful group of people.

We are beginning to start planning for 2010. The first activity on our calendar will be the Houston Boat Show January 8th – 17th. This is an indoor show for dealers of new boats to display their current models. We try to get a few Houston area members to display their boats for the duration of the show.  This is one way of making the public aware of the ACBS and our Chapter. Pat Nichols will be organizing this event as usual. If you would be willing to display your boat, or if you can help man the display during the show; please let me know. I will put you in touch with Pat.

The Keels & Wheels Show at Lakewood Yacht Club in Seabrook will be coming up on May 1st and 2nd. You may have already seen a notice from the Concours Committee at Lakewood in your mailbox. This will be our first in the water show of the year, so mark your calendars and start making plans to join us for this special event.
